intro to my newest WIP

(the contemporary fantasy rom-com)

On Friday (November 22nd, 2024), I’ll post the first chapter of my first Adult novel, a contemporary fantasy rom-com that’s probably one of the silliest things I’ve ever written (which, if you’ve read my work, you know is saying a lot).

The title is THE BOY BAND CURSE, and you can probably guess what the plot might entail from that, but here’s a brief summary:

Aennika Malum is cursed. If she doesn't find true love before she turns thirty, she'll be transmuted into a cat.

As the day approaches and she hasn't had any success finding a counter curse, she's ready to accept her fate when two men randomly barge into her house.

They could be the unwanted solution to her problem, except they've just killed someone.

And they're the most famous boy band duo in the world.

I haven’t quite nailed down what the specific tropes are yet, but I suppose you could call it a bit of a reverse harem and…annoyed-to-lovers? One of my favorite dynamics I guess, hahah.
